New Brighton Christian Church will be sending a team of volunteers to Haiti August 5th-13th, 2012.
During that time, the team will be participating in various missionary services such as home-building and social work through Lifeline Christian Mission. If you are interested and would like further details please contact Reggie Camarse or attend the informational meeting directly after the Sunday morning service on February 12th.
The youth group will be taking orders for special valentine baskets filled with goodies for loved ones on Valentines Day. A sample basket will be on display on the sanctuary table this Sunday along with order forms. Please consider supporting youth for their mission activities and at the same time getting a special gift for a loved one. Suggested donation is $35, but give what you can. The baskets will be delivered on Sunday, February 12 after the 10AM Worship service.
Teens grades 7-12 are invited to join teens from 3 other states at Kimball Area High School and Powder Ridge Ski Resort on Friday, January 27 – Saturday, January 28. The theme this year is “TORN” The car leaves NBCC at 5PM on Friday and will return Saturday at 7PM. The cost of the conference which also includes all food is $25. Lift tickets are $17 and ski or ski board rentals are $17. Worship leader is Tim Thorman and Speaker is Anthony Bliss. Call Reggie Camarse by Wednesday, Jan. 25 if you are going. The retreat will be held at Staples Church of Christ and features Jon Albert as speaker, and Brad Jorde as Worship leader. If you can attend, let Reggie Camarse know by January 18. The car will leave NBCC at 4PM on Friday and return by 6PM on Saturday. The cost is $5.00. Friends are also welcome. This is a great way to “re-fuel” for the new year. See you there.

On Wednesday, October 26th instead of our usual Wed. night study, we will participate in the Pumpkin Patch Party. We need all the help you can give us to make this a fun time for the little folks! Dress up (no scary costumes please) and volunteer to help. Let Reggie or Kristie know that you are coming.
On October29th NBCC will be joining Habitat for Humanity in building an eight townhome complex – the first of its kind in Northeast Minneapolis. If you are 16+ and interested in helping in many ways, we will leave church at approximately 7:30AM and return by 5PM. Please let Reggie know if you can come by October 26th. On Sunday, October 15th and 23rd from 7:30 – 9:15PM join us for a time of beautiful worship, music and fellowship at Bethel University. Each service is unique and aimed at honoring God with our lives in worship. The car will leave from church at 7:30PM. Join us and bring a friend. This is a good way to gear up for school and all your activities of the coming week.
